Bound By Desire is the oldest women's leather club in Austin, TX. Historically meant to provide a safe and brave space for women to play with other women, membership has since expanded to include non-binary and transmasc individuals to better reflect our mission and who we are as a community. The club firmly believes that all trans women are women.

BbD is a space for folx who have a positive interest in BDSM with women and are 21 years old or older. We accept people into our space who are women, walk through society as women, nonbinary or belong to broader non cis male gender identities AND have demonstrated they are able to respect that this is a space that centers women and recognizes the need for women to feel safe in sexual activity or play.

We are now in our 4th decade of service to the leather community. Bound by Desire was formed in 1991 by a group of leatherdykes in Austin, Texas. The club continues to grow and now has members from all over Texas and a few in other states.

We hold monthly socials at a coffeehouse or restaurant to meet new people and get together with old friends. The socials are generally held on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 2-4pm in Austin (check for the schedule during the holiday season).

We have at least four parties a year including our premier event The Hunt.
